【ALTIRI CHIBA】Establishment of a New Pro Basketball Club and Approval to Participate in B3 Games

■INTRODUCTION
A new professional basketball club is established with Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture as its home town. We have started with the vision of rooting in Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture and “To create a club that attracts people all over the world”. Currently, we are preparing for game operations and acquiring team staff and players in order to enter the B3 LEAGUE official games from the 2021-22 season.

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture, Basketball Association of Chiba City, Basketball Association of Chiba Prefecture, Basketball Association of Municipalities in Chiba Prefecture, everyone supporting the basketball industry, B.LEAGUE, B3 LEAGUE, and the local community for their support in our preparations.
Our goal is to create a club that will be supported by the local community, and together, to become a club that will make our way to the world. At present, we are preparing for the opening game of the season under the slogan of “Players First and Contribution to the Community,” and we hope for your continued support.

■CLUB NAME
“Altiri” is a word that means “to attract” in Esperanto, a language designed to connect people regardless of their mother tongue or culture.
We believe that sports have the power to move one’s heart, beyond culture, race, and generation. We named our team after the Esperanto word for “attract” in the hope of spreading the value of sports around the world and attracting more people.

■CLUB LOGO
Our logo is based on a “shield”, which symbolizes courage and victory, and the letters “A (Altiri)” and “C (Chiba)”, which symbolizes culture. 

【Shield】

Victory is an important element in a professional basketball club. In the past, the shield was a symbol of courage and victory. Although the way of fighting has changed and now it has been transformed into an ornament, it has always been a symbol to celebrate “victory” and “honor”. For this reason, the logo is based on the shield, a symbol of victory.

【Letter】
Letters are a symbol of culture and also an ancient and excellent means of communication. The logo is based on the symbol of culture, letter, in order to create a culture and attract people all over the world.

■CLUB COLOR
The club color of ALTIRI CHIBA is “Black Navy”. It is based on navy blue, which represents harmony, cooperation, courage, glory, and deep wisdom, all of which are essential elements in basketball, with the addition of black, which represents dignity and quality.

Dear citizens of Chiba City and Chiba Prefecture, as well as the supporters of the B.LEAGUE and B3 LEAGUE, I am pleased to announce the launch of a professional basketball club, ALTIRI CHIBA, based in Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture.
We will make every effort to create a club that will contribute not only to its home town, Chiba City, but also Chiba Prefecture and the basketball industry. 
The world is changing, and we are still in a depressing world with an uncertain future. For this reason, we will continue to share the excitement and joy of sports and basketball with the people of the region, do our best to nurture ALTIRI CHIBA, and energize Chiba, the basketball industry, and furthermore, Japan. ■Coming Up
We will start to send out information about our activities and progress from July 2021, when the 2021-22 season starts, and also start our official SNS and other media at the same time.
